Today we observe International Youth Day.
Each year on August 12, we celebrate young people across the globe and honor the future they are building. We also use the day to raise awareness of the challenges youth face daily. #YouthDay
History
International Youth Day was established by the UN in 1999 through Resolution 54-120, following recommendations from the World Conference of Ministers Responsible for Youth.
Since then, each year has a new theme to guide celebrations worldwide.

Support youth in your community. Engage with youth groups, listen to their ideas, and encourage their solutions for today and tomorrow.
